The new academic year has begun with the fantastic news that we have been recognised by The Week’s prestigious Independent Schools Guide 2020 as the Best of the Best for our community and outreach work. Describing Godolphin and Latymer as ‘Great for community’ the guide goes on to say, ‘As well as achieving impressive academic results […] this west London girls’ school is firmly committed to its outreach work’. In particular, The Week pays tribute to our Bridge programme for Year 5 children from local primary schools, our students’ volunteering work with charities, local schools and community projects, and our partnerships with other state secondary schools. We were also very pleased to be a contender for ‘Best for academic results’.
In the same week we are were also delighted to be included in Tatler’s Schools Guide 2021 for the top prep and public schools in the UK. Our write-up notes that ‘despite being renowned for its academic prowess […] the students feel that they are encouraged to do much more than just follow the curriculum’. Again there is a special mention for the Bridge programme, sport is described as ‘outstanding’ and exam results ‘record breaking’. Best of all though, Tatler sums up our students as ‘totally charming and notably low-key about their innumerable achievements’.
