16+ Entry Joining the Sixth Form
Registration for Sixth Form entry in 2021 has now closed. Registration for 2022 entry will open in December.
The Sixth Form is a very exciting time at Godolphin and Latymer where we offer both the A Level and IB pathways and a myriad of opportunities for leadership responsibilities and exploration beyond the curriculum. A number of students join us every year from a range of secondary schools.
The closing date for applications for entry in September 2021 is noon on Thursday 15 October; by this time candidates need to have completed both parts of the application process. First you register for the school (in cases of particular need we may be able to waive the Registration Fee; please contact the Registrar) then candidates complete the second part of the process – the Subject Choice Form which requests further details about your daughter’s application. The Subject Choice Form is only issued to registered candidates.
The first stage of our selection process will be for students to sit a cognitive abilities test at Godolphin and Latymer during the afternoon of Friday 6 November. We are very aware that the candidates will have experienced varying levels of disruption during the Summer term. Therefore, a cognitive abilities test is more appropriate than subject tests where candidates may have reached different levels in different subjects. We are very familiar with the level of cognitive ability that enables a student to thrive in our fast-paced environment; candidates who meet the required level in the assessment will be invited for a series of structured subject interviews in the morning of Saturday 14 November. These interviews will be conducted by subject specialists and will enable the candidates to demonstrate specific skills appropriate to their chosen subjects.
