On Saturday we opened our doors to 38 students from local state schools for the first Bridge session since March.
Although the remote Bridge sessions have been successful, there is no substitute for face-to-face teaching. Students took part in lessons in English, Maths, and a Communication Skills workshop, taught by Ms Tricker and Ms Hempsall from Godolphin and Latymer Speech and Drama department. They were ably supported by our Bridge Support Team and several additional students, who came in to help with the workshop.
The Bridge students also enjoyed a performance by Tatiana in the Upper Sixth – a Grade 7 Speech and Drama student and a great role model for the Year 6 children. The Communication Skills workshop was not only confidence building and useful preparation for upcoming 11+ interviews, but also, and perhaps most importantly, great fun.
