On Wednesday lunchtime, members of the school’s Politics Society heard from Emma Apthorp, the youngest ever Mayor of Hammersmith and Fulham and Labour Councillor for Hammersmith Broadway.
Emma spoke on the importance of local government, her campaigns against violence towards women and girls and ways of getting more involved in politics. Students were particularly interested in her experiences of politics as a young woman and asked many questions on this theme.
Many thanks to Emma for her visit; she was an inspirational role model for our students of making a positive difference in the local community. We look forward to hearing more about her important campaigns!
