News Success in the Junior Mathematical Olympiad 04.07.2024

Further to some impressive results from the Junior Mathematical Kangaroo last month, in the last week of term we received results from the Junior Mathematical Olympiad taken by the top 1,200 Year 7 and 8 pupils nationally. This two-hour paper consists of sixteen problems including six tricky Olympiad problems from which medals are determined.

Five Years 8s had qualified, and all achieved highly. Emma, Chloe, Charlie and Yi received Merits placing them in the top 40% of pupils and Nayeon received a Distinction (top 25%). Furthermore, her strong Section B answers placed her just one mark short of a Bronze Medal. Well done to all the girls on their excellent achievements in this prestigious competition.
