News Sixth Form House Debating Final 17.03.2022

After several gruelling early rounds of debating, the two strongest houses emerged from the preliminaries to contest the Sixth Form House Debating final, which took place during form time on Wednesday in front of the remaining assembled Sixth Form.

Students debated the motion, ‘This house believes that university education should be free for all’, and after half an hour of academic sparring, points of information, and challenges from the floor, it was Sheppard who emerged as narrow victors over Lovelace. Congratulations to all who took part in an incredibly high quality debate, and who left the audience transfixed, and academically stimulated, long after the final gavel had fallen and the winners had been declared.
