News Scholars’ Concert 2022 04.11.2022

On Thursday evening parents enjoyed a concert from our talented Music Scholars.

Girls of all ages performed works by Mozart, Debussy, Franck, Accolay and Mendelssohn, with each one as high a standard as the last. Particular highlights were Francesca in Year 7 performing the 1^st movement from J-B Accolay’s Violin Concerto ‘off-copy’, and Isabell Karlsson, Upper Sixth, who closed the concert with a rendition of the 3^rd movement of Mendelssohn’s famous Violin Concerto. Isabell’s virtuosic performance demonstrated to her engaged audience why she has recently been appointed Leader of the National Youth Orchestra.

Thank you to all of our Music Scholars for their wonderful performances. A special mention must be given to Serene Koh, one of the school’s Piano teachers, for her fabulous accompanying of each performance.
