News Lower Sixth IB students examine effects of pollution in Flatford Mill 19.05.2022

Last weekend, our Lower Sixth IB biologists had an engaging learning experience at the National Trust Field Centre in Flatford Mill, Suffolk.

The girls investigated the effects of pollution and the accumulation of macro and micro-plastic debris on freshwater biodiversity, effects of trampling on wildlife and completed some woodland species identification which included small mammal sampling and observation of small aquatic invertebrates.

It proved to be an excellent setting for students to complete their ecological investigations and all produced thought-provoking individual projects, whilst enjoying the beautiful surrounding countryside.
