News Year 7 Learns More About the Work of Evelina London Children’s Charity 13.03.2026

Year 7 recently welcomed Tina Harris, Community Fundraising Coordinator for the Evelina London Children’s Charity the charity Year 7 is supporting this year, to speak about the important work the organisation does.

During her talk, Tina gave students a brief history of the charity before highlighting some of its recent projects and the ways it supports young patients and their families. She explained how fundraising helps the charity provide life-saving equipment, support pioneering research, and improve hospital environments for children receiving treatment.

Tina also took the opportunity to thank the Year 7 pupils for their support of the charity, particularly through their participation in the Charities Christmas Games last year. Their enthusiasm and generosity, she explained, help make a real difference to the charity’s work.

The Year 7 students were a respectful and engaged audience throughout the talk, asking thoughtful questions and showing great interest in the charity’s mission. It was a wonderful event and a valuable opportunity for pupils to learn more about the impact of charitable giving.
