News The Cricketer: Top 20 All-Girls School 27.11.2025

While things are not going too well for the national team down under, we are delighted to report that cricket at Godolphin is thriving and, once again, we have been included in The Cricketer magazine’s Top 20 All-Girls Schools for cricket. The magazine editor Huw Turbervill said: ‘We are very proud of our coverage of schools cricket, which we have followed closely since our inception in 1921. This 11th edition recognises the fantastic cricket programmes that exist in school curricula up and down the country.’

Our cricketing highlights last year included the ECB National Indoor Tournament where both our U13 and U15 teams won their borough and county finals with confidence, progressing to the regional stage. The U13s excelled, winning their regional competition and earning a place in the national finals at Lord’s finishing as the third-best team in the country—a remarkable achievement.
Last summer we entered the Middlesex County Cup T20 ‘hard ball’ competition. After a strong run through the rounds, we faced LEH in the final. Chasing a target of 150/9, our girls rose to the occasion, reaching 155/2 with an over to spare. Our U12s also shone, entering three teams into the London Schools’ Tournament and emerging as champions.

We are looking forward to another fantastic season of cricket at Godolphin over the next year.
