News Sunday Times Top 5 Independent Secondary School 2026  05.12.2025

We are absolutely thrilled to share the news that we have been awarded Top 5 Independent School for Academic Excellence in the Sunday Times Schools Guide 2026. This year Godolphin and Latymer is positioned 4th in the combined national league table for state and independent secondary schools based on our 2025 GCSE, A Level and IB Diploma results. This is a fabulous accolade for the whole school community. In particular we congratulate our Class of 2025 whose fantastic achievements, both in the classroom and beyond, enabled them to gain places on a whole range of competitive courses at leading universities in the UK and overseas.

London schools did particularly well this year and according to the Sunday Times, ‘pupils in the capital’s top schools continue to bring their A* game and dominate the Parent Power league tables in both the state and independent sectors. London also has the most winners in this year’s guide. There is a work-hard, play-hard attitude and pupils are able to make the most of their location with trips to galleries, access to leading public speakers, events and work experience opportunities.’
