News Standout Performances and Close Margins at Hans Woyda Maths Friendly Match 25.03.2026

Three teams, each made up of four girls from Years 8, 10, 11 and Lower Sixth, competed in the Hans Woyda Maths friendly match at City of London School for Girls. Teams A and B both secured victories, with Team B winning by the narrowest of margins – just one point. Team C unfortunately lost, also by a single point in a very close contest.

Team A established a strong lead early on and maintained it throughout the match, finishing with a decisive 33–16 win. Team B, however, staged an impressive comeback. Trailing 16–23 at half time, they rallied in the second half to secure a dramatic 32–31 victory. Team C, made up largely of students new to the Hans Woyda Maths competition, put in a commendable performance, losing only 22–23.

A huge congratulations to all the girls who competed – particularly those taking part for the first time. The match produced an excellent set of scores that will be tough to beat next year!
