News Royal Geographical Society Lecture 02.10.2025
On Wednesday the Geography department took 23 Sixth Form geographers to a lecture by Danny Dorling at the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington. Professor Dorling is the 1971 Professor of Geography at the University of Oxford. His talk centred on his most recent books about social inequality, with a particular focus on child poverty in the UK. The lecture was fascinating, if rather sobering, and the girls very much appreciated the opportunity to hear from one of the world’s foremost social geographers in such auspicious surroundings.
