Nine local prep schools sent teams of four Year 5 pupils to compete in the seventh annual Godolphin and Latymer Maths Challenge which consisted of four exciting rounds that challenged the teams to work together on a variety of problem solving activities.
The first two rounds focused on team work and strategy, and by break time, Glendower Prep had taken an early lead. After a well-earned break of juice and KitKats, teams had 8 minutes to solve a series of questions in the Shuttle Round. Impressively, almost every school received the bonus points for finishing the rounds early, but Notting Hill Prep came out on top and into first place. We finished with the Relay Round which consisted of some maths and a lot of running around.
All nine schools did extremely well and seemed pleased with their multi-coloured pens for taking part. Congratulations to Prospect House School for third place, Glendower Prep for second and Kensington Prep who took home the trophy!
