GCSE Results 2019

Posted: 22/08/19

Many congratulations to our Year 11 students on their excellent GCSE results!  This was the first year that our students received only the new 9-1 grades and we are delighted that 95.8% of the grades awarded were 9-7, the equivalent of the old A*/A.  An impressive 58.6% of the entries were awarded Grade 9, and 85.9% were awarded Grade 9 or 8.  No fewer than 54 students in the year group achieved Grade 9 or 8 in all their subjects, a wonderful achievement.

44 students opted to take the Further Maths paper and all were awarded grades A/A*/A^ with 15 students achieving  A^ (A Distinction).

We are very proud of the whole cohort.  They have been notable for continuing to offer a great deal to the extra-curricular life of the school while pursuing their academic studies to the highest level.  These results are a fitting reflection of their determination and of the dedication and skill of the teachers and pastoral staff who supported them.

The full set of provisional results - subject to remarks - are available by scrolling down to the bottom of the Learning section of the school website.
