Choral Evensong at St George's Chapel

Posted: 14/06/19

The combined Godolphin and Latymer Chamber Choirs enjoyed a visit to St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Wednesday to sing Choral Evensong.

Excitingly, the repertoire included two world premieres: John Hosking’s 'Festal Responses' and our composer-in-residence, Kerensa Briggs’ 'Windsor Service'. In addition, the choirs sung Lole’s anthem 'The Father’s Love' and a chant setting of Psalm 136. In their red choir robes the singers looked the part in the chapel that has become familiar to many in recent months thanks to the royal weddings.

Miss Reid conducted the service, which was attended by a great number of parents, staff and members of the public. Our thanks to all who took part.
