News IB Students Present Their ToK Exhibitions 15.05.2025
On Tuesday Lower Sixth IB Diploma students welcomed staff, A Level peers and parents to view their Theory of Knowledge (ToK) Exhibitions; the exhibition along with a 1,600 word essay is a mandatory part of the ToK element of the IB Diploma. Assembling in the upper floor of the library, each student had a display board showcasing their selected prompt and the three objects they chosen to explore this probing knowledge question. Guests asked students to explain their selections, feedback on their arguments, and brainstormed additional examples. The library was buoyant with knowledge-based conversation! For students the experience will be invaluable in helping them shape the final drafts of their Exhibition.
The Theory of Knowledge (ToK) is a core component of the IB Diploma Programme which is offered by Godolphin in the Sixth Form. It encourages students to critically reflect on the nature of knowledge, how we know what we claim to know, and the limits of knowledge. ToK aims to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate information objectively.
