Last weekend saw the Godolphin and Latymer Boat Club out in force at the prestigious School’s Head and Women’s Head double header, with both events drawing some of the strongest rowing crews from across the country.
Friday’s School’s Head race featured four Godolphin crews competing against a highly competitive field. The 1st VIII delivered a standout performance, finishing 7th overall in the Championship 8s category. Meanwhile, the J16 crew secured an excellent 3rd place in their event, demonstrating both skill and determination.
For the J15 squads, the event marked an important milestone, as two crews completed their first long-distance time trial. Both crews gained valuable experience and showed promising potential for future competitions.
Saturday’s Women’s Head, traditionally dominated by adult crews, provided another opportunity for the Boat Club athletes to test themselves at a high level. Two newly formed crews rose to the challenge with impressive performances, with the 1st VIII finishing an outstanding 10 places ahead of an Oxford University A crew.
