We are thrilled that Godolphin and Latymer has been included in the Spear’s Schools Indices Top 100 leading private schools in the world, drawn up by Spear’s, their expert partners at Thuso, and a panel of independent international educationalists. This prestigious international index highlights the very best independent schools worldwide, celebrating not only academic achievement but also a school’s distinctive ethos, reputation and how it prepares pupils for life beyond the classroom.
Their review of our school says:
Godolphin and Latymer School is well known for both its academic success and warm atmosphere. Located just a short walk from the Hammersmith tube station, the day school for girls is situated on a six-acre campus that contains a mix of Victorian and modern buildings. The head, Dr Frances Ramsey, encourages her students to be compassionate and courageous, and to develop their own passions and interests. This is demonstrated by the wide variety of extracurricular activities on offer, from chess and journalism clubs, to fencing, rowing and kickboxing. The school places a similar emphasis on wellbeing and pastoral care, and protecting girls’ mental health. ‘The emphasis is on progress, not perfection, and on learning, not performance,’ according to the school.
