About Us Godolphin and Latymer
Godolphin and Latymer is an academically selective independent day school for girls aged 11-18. Girls who thrive here are curious and eager to learn and are ready to take advantage of the wide range of curricular and extra-curricular opportunities we offer. In the Sixth Form students can choose to pursue the IB Diploma or A Level pathway and they go on to leading universities in the UK and around the world.
Our pastoral care ensures that each individual girl is encouraged to be the best version of herself and is supported to be bold, have a go, and to bounce back when things don’t go to plan. We strive to be a caring, kind and inclusive school community and our means-tested bursary programme allows us to provide fee assistance for talented girls who otherwise wouldn’t be able to come to the school. We seek to develop strong relationships with local schools and community groups through our partnerships programmes and students take part in a plethora of volunteering and community impact projects throughout the year.
A wide and exciting extra-curricular programme enriches student life and ensures each individual girl can reach her potential and pursue her interests and passions. Girls shine as artists, actors, musicians, sportswomen, scientists, entrepreneurs, debaters, Gold DofE achievers, and Physics, Chemistry and Biology Olympiads. In the Sixth Form students are encouraged to take on key leadership opportunities and positions of responsibility across all areas the school.
Our G&L Futures programme focuses on helping students develop critical skills valued by future employers such as problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, resilience and an entrepreneurial mindset. Each year-group takes part in projects that provide ‘real-life’ analytical and problem-solving activities that enable students to collaborate, research, produce evidence-based ideas and solutions and develop their presentation skills. In September 2025 we launched our new Innovation and Leadership course which can be studied instead of a GCSE option.
The Godolphin journey doesn’t end when our students leave the school. The friendships and memories that they make at Godolphin and Latymer continue to be a very important part of their lives and, in turn, as Old Dolphins they remain a very important and valued part of our school community.
