News Year 9 students walk for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 15.06.2023

Last Saturday Year 9 students Eden, Monica, Sienna, Emma, Corrin, Gracie, Grace, Mila, Milly and Olivia all walked in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The aim of the walk was to raise money for the JDRF and to raise awareness for those living with Type 1 Diabetes. This was a cause particularly close to Eden’s heart who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes two years ago. She said that thanks to her friends at school, she has always felt understood and supported in her daily battle with the disease. Despite warm temperatures on Saturday, the girls made short work of the 5k walk and it was a fantastic display of friendship, support and teamwork.

Together the girls have raised over £15,000 and counting for the JDRF and we are incredibly proud of the work they have done to shine a light on diabetes.
