News Winners at Wallingford: Godolphin rowers shine at Wallingford Regatta 09.05.2024

Last Sunday our J15, J16 and J18 rowing squads competed at the Wallingford Regatta, the largest one day regatta in the world.

Our J18 pair had a tough race against adult competition, such as Leander and Tideway Scullers School rowing clubs, and sadly didn’t progress from their heat. Two J15 VIIIs raced, with one making the final, where they finished 6^th. The J16 VIII had a great row to make the final, where they had a strong row to finish 5^th. Our J18 double had a storming row to finish 2^nd in their final, placing ahead of many strong schools and clubs. The result of the day was from the J16 four, who dominated both their heat and final, winning the latter by the huge margin of 11 seconds, which was a stunning achievement!

With the National Schools Regatta in just over three weeks, our squads are hitting form at the right time. Well done to all our rowers and coaches!
