Vacancies Invigilator

Part time
Casual work
To commence April 2023

The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country’s leading independent day schools for girls, located on a six acre site in Hammersmith, London.  The School’s facilities are excellent, making it an exciting place to learn and work.  The students at Godolphin and Latymer receive unrivalled academic and pastoral support and outstanding examination results are achieved.

We currently seek applications for the role of Invigilator to commence in the Summer Term 2023 and to remain as part of the Invigilator pool on an ongoing basis.

In support of our Examinations Officer, the Invigilator will help with the smooth running of internal and external examinations across the school.  Applicants must be well-organised, efficient and diligent. Previous experience would be advantageous but is not essential and training will be provided.

Our Invigilators work on a casual basis when required by the School.  The number of hours of work available for each period of exams across the year will vary and cannot be guaranteed but is offered out fairly to our pool of invigilators.  The hourly rate of pay will be commensurate with the post.

If you would like to be considered for invigilation work at the school, please fully complete the School’s own application form.  Applications should be returned to  CVs alone will not be accepted.

There is no closing date for applications.

Applications will be considered on receipt and interviews may occur at any stage.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and responsibility.  Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

All staff working in the School during the school day will have some contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity.  In this role you would regularly interact with pupils who may seek your assistance or otherwise interact with you when moving around the school.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
