News The US University Experience 19.03.2020

Last Friday we welcomed two Old Dolphins who are currently studying in the United States to share their university experiences with our prospective applicants.

Annabel, second-year student at Duke University, and Moune, first-year student at the University of Southern California, spoke about the transition process from high school to college, the flexibility of studying in a liberal arts curriculum and the vast range of resources available to them on campus to explore their diverse academic interests.

Highlights of the talk included a discussion of the vibrant residential campus life, the diversity of the student community and the internship and research opportunities offered to undergraduates. Annabel and Moune also elaborated on how their extracurricular activities and involvement in student organisations help to expand their learning beyond the classroom. Our prospective US applicants were particularly excited to find out how well prepared our alumnae are to thrive in a rigorous university environment.
