News Sixth Form Enrichment Programme: Movements and Migrations 22.09.2022

On Tuesday we launched the Sixth Form Enrichment Programme for the new academic year with an introductory talk from Dr Carter, Director of Sixth Form.

Each year in the Autumn Term, we organise a programme of challenging lectures for the Sixth Form, all devised and delivered by members of staff on a topic of interest or expertise. The Sixth Form have a great range of lectures to select from this year, with each student given the choice of which lecture they attend each week. From exploring the impact of the Great Famine of Ireland on Irish migration and nationalism, to reflecting on French counter culture in the 1960s via the mapping of human migrations through DNA discoveries, our lectures this year all centre on the theme of ‘Movements and Migrations’. To see the full programme for this year’s lectures, please see our brochure here.

Our thanks to all the members of staff who have contributed this year and in the previous seven years of our Enrichment Programme.
