News MUN Conference at St Paul‘s School 30.06.2022

Last weekend, members of the Godolphin and Latymer Model United Nations society took part in the  St Paul’s School MUN conference.

This was much anticipated as the conference had originally been scheduled for January but had to be cancelled due to Covid so we were delighted that it was able to go ahead. Students from Years 10 to the Lower Sixth represented India and Bosnia-Herzegovina, discussing topics such as the testing of nuclear weapons on the moon, women’s rights in Afghanistan, and the decolonisation of Western Sahara with students from schools across London. We also heard from Alex Pinfield OBE who shared fascinating anecdotes and insights from his years as a diplomat in Afghanistan, Iran and China.

Congratulations to all students who participated, many of them for the first time, but particularly to Noor in Year 10 who was awarded Best Speaker and Flo in the Lower sixth who was awarded Most Accurate to Country.
