News Model United Nations Conference at City of London School 12.03.2020

Last Saturday fourteen Dolphins from Year 10 to the Lower Sixth visited City of London School for their annual Model United Nations Conference.

For nearly half the team, it was their first MUN conference and so there were plenty of nerves as they gathered under the Millennium Bridge early in the morning. Fears were quickly allayed and the girls got stuck into lobbying, speaking, debating and compromising with their fellow delegates. The girls were lucky enough to hear from a Brigadier who had experience of working with the United Nations – it was fascinating to gain an insight into how the decisions made at the UN affect the situation on the ground.

CLSMUN was our most successful conference yet, with an extraordinary number of prizes awarded to the Godolphin delegations. Well done to Maia, Isabelle and Georgina for receiving ‘Honourable Mentions’ from their Committee Chairs, to Ozzy for the prize of ‘Highly Commended Delegate’ and to Ines and Issey for their prizes for ‘Most Improved Delegate’, as well as to all our students who spoke eloquently and worked very hard on their preparation for the conference.
