On Tuesday, Year 10 musicians ran a singing workshop and performed a short concert in a special assembly for students at our sister school, Redcliffe Gardens.
The aim of the assembly was to give RGS pupils a chance to ask Godolphin girls questions about music, quizzing them on their instruments, the pieces they performed and what grades they had completed. Following the performance, Godolphin and Latymer musicians helped run a singing workshop. Redcliffe pupils were split into groups and with the guidance of their Godolphin counterparts, learnt a song that was later performed as a round.
The students performed fantastically with RGS’ Head of Music commenting on the high-standard of their performance. We have already been invited back to perform again and we look forward to developing our musical partnership with Redcliffe over the course of the year.
