News Celebrating Success in the Trinity College Speech and Drama Exams 13.10.2022

It has been another busy and successful year in the Speech and Drama Department with students developing their performance skills and rehearsing and performing a huge range of extracts from plays, poetry, public speeches and prose.

Three hundred Godolphin and Latymer students entered the Trinity College Speech and Drama exams in May, June and October 2022 and there have been five visiting examiners in school who have praised our students’ creative flair across all ages. The examiners also remarked on the diversity of their performance material across all genres and on the rich and interesting exam programmes, particularly at the higher grades.

The results have been excellent from Grade 3 right through to Grade 8. Here are the words of one of Trinity’s chief examiners: ‘We have found that the school’s approach to the work is rigorous, thorough and detailed. It is to be commended for the skill the students demonstrate but also for the space they are given to develop their own interpretation and creative responses to material. The work is of a very high standard”.

Congratulations to all the students on their hard work and achievements!
