News Jinghan Triumphs in Tunnock’s Teacake Challenge 10.09.2026

Congratulations to Jinghan, Year 10, whose entry of ‘Flying’ in the Tunnock’s teacake challenge 2026 – submitted when she was in Year 9 – has been selected as the runner-up in the under 14 category.

The judges were particularly impressed with Jinghan’s level of skill and how her entry met the brief.

The Tunnock’s Teacake Challenge is an annual food styling and presentation competition primarily aimed at secondary school students in the UK, but has had entries from further afield. Organised by the Food Teachers Centre and officially sponsored by Tunnock’s, the challenge tasks students with transforming a single, iconic chocolate and marshmallow Tunnock’s Teacake into a high-end masterpiece to meet the theme for this year, which for 2026 was ‘Around the world in a bite’.
