News Honing Debating Skills at Friendly Competition with St Paul’s Girls 25.06.2026
On Saturday 21 June, Year 7 students, Hebe, Astrid and Lottie entered the junior division of a friendly debating competition at St Paul’s Girls’ School. It was a fun and challenging day, with motions covering everything from income tax to medical ethics, and protecting historical monuments to categories in award shows! The girls competed valiantly, winning three out of five of their debates and coming away with increased confidence in their abilities.
They were also joined by Lola and Sophia, two of our Lower Sixth debating captains, who judged the intermediate competition. Both were highlighted by the other visiting schools as being highly passionate about debating and for providing positive and constructive feedback to competitors.
