News US Talks from Vanderbilt and Penn 02.05.2025

On Thursday we were delighted to host a talk by the Senior Associate Director of Admissions from Vanderbilt who shared with us recent updates about the university as well as highlighting the qualities they look for in applicants: curiosity, collaboration, and global-mindedness.

This was followed by a special evening event with the Director of Admissions and Vice Dean at The University of Pennsylvania who gave us an insight into the selective admission process in the United States and the wide range of learning and research opportunities which foster ‘a purposeful community’ at Penn.

The talk, presented to an audience of over 300 students and parents, covered holistic admissions, the depth and breadth offered by the liberal arts curriculum as well as the distinctive features of Penn’s undergraduate schools and coordinated dual-degree programmes. Ms Pascucci also discussed the importance of ‘telling your story in your words’ and maintaining an authentic voice in the personal and supplemental essays.

We will continue to host talks by international universities, with Bocconi University and New York University visiting us in the coming weeks.
