News U13s in Winning Form at the ECB Indoor Regional Finals 01.05.2025

On Wednesday this week, our U13 cricket squad attended the ECB Indoor Regional Finals. They played Herschel Grammar School, Berkshire, Dr Challoners’ High School, Buckinghamshire, and Priestlands School, Hampshire, in the pool matches and came out as overall winners. Next up was Aldro School, Surrey, in the semi finals. Godolphin batted first and put in a good solid performance, having three batters retire. Coming in to bowl, the girls gained a couple of quick wickets early on thanks to some excellent fielding and sharp reactions which meant they won the semi final quite convincingly. In the final our team was up against Benenden School, Kent, and fielding first once again got three early wickets in the first two overs. The target of 79 was tough as Benenden had a couple of fast bowlers but with some careful placement and good communication between batters the girls reached their total with 10 balls to spare.

The U13s will now go to the national indoor finals on 20 May. Congratulations to whole team and their coaches.
