News Sixth Form Enrichment Lecture Series 22.09.2026

This year’s Sixth Form Enrichment Lectures launched this week featuring an incredible range of talks delivered by our teachers all based on the topic of ‘Power and Resistance’. Sixth Formers can choose the lectures they want to attend depending on their own areas of interest.

The first week’s line-up featured Mrs Armstrong’s session on the causes behind the growth of the Women’s Movement in the 1960s and 70s; Dr Christie exploring how the novel came to be the most dominant and widely consumed form of literature; Mr Holgate championing our rights at university and in the workplace and how the individual might ‘resist’ powerful institutions; and Miss Thompson exploring how global health initiatives are seeking to eradicate disease.

Our Sixth Formers will enjoy a further three sessions throughout the year, with teachers continuing to deep dive into an incredible range of specialisation and interests.
