News Senior Chamber Choir Sing Evensong at Southwark Cathedral 13.06.2025

On Wednesday 11 June, the Senior Chamber Choir sang evensong in the beautiful setting of Southwark Cathedral in London. After the Darlington responses, pupils sang Psalm 147, Kerensa Briggs’s Windsor Service (composed for Godolphin and Latymer School in 2019) and Cecilia McDowall’s Bless To Me This Day.

The quality of the pupils’ singing was absolutely outstanding; wonderfully lyrical, technically controlled and with excellent ensemble blend. This performance was particularly noteworthy, too, in that the choir consisted entirely of pupils from Years 10 and the Lower Sixth (due to exam leave for our other year groups). We are fortunate indeed to have a chamber choir of this calibre; many, many congratulations to them.
