News Senior Chamber Choir: Evensong at St George’s Chapel, Windsor 24.09.2026

On Wednesday 23 September, the Senior Chamber Choir was honoured to sing evensong at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. The Chapel is very much connected with the Royal Family, and King Henry VIII, HM King George V, HRH Prince Philip and HM Queen Elizabeth II are all buried there.

The choir sang Stephen Darlington’s Preces and Responses, Cecilia McDowall’s St Albans Service, a setting of Psalm 59 and Howard Goodall’s anthem Love Divine. The choir were in superb voice, and their performance of Love Divine (in particular) was wonderfully moving.

Bravo to the choir on a tremendous service, particularly so early in the Autumn Term. We are so very proud of them all.
