News RIBA London Award Success for Alison Paines Building and Sixth Form Centre 18.05.2026

We are absolutely thrilled to hear that our Alison Paines Building and Sixth Form Centre was a winning project in the West London category at the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) London Awards 2026 announced on Thursday 15 May. This marked the 60th anniversary of the awards which are one of the most prestigious in the country and we are delighted to have won this accolade alongside Walters & Cohen Architects.

Commenting on this year’s awards, RIBA London Director, John Nahar, said:

‘Once again, the 2026 RIBA London Awards winners roster showcases and celebrates exemplary architecture that is actively shaping London. From new homes and schools to major infrastructure upgrades, cultural destinations and the creative transformation of existing buildings. These projects combine technical excellence, environmental ambition and social impact, showcasing design at its most confident, creative and forward-looking.’

RIBA President, Chris Williamson, said:

‘This is a landmark year for RIBA as we mark 60 years of our Awards and the impact of past winners on society. Over six decades, the Awards have charted a cultural journey across the UK, reflecting how architecture has responded to changing needs in education, industry, work and home life. Today, as in 1966, we celebrate architecture that sets new standards for how we live and shape our communities – and reminds us just how important it is to keep raising the bar.’

RIBA London Award winners will now be considered for a highly coveted RIBA National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, which will be announced on 9 July. The shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize for the best building of the year will be drawn from the RIBA National Award-winning projects later in the year.
