News Preparing for the Future: Lower Sixth Higher Education Day 24.04.2026

Following the completion of their practice assessments, the Lower Sixth dedicated Friday to a series of Higher Education preparation activities. The programme offered students a valuable opportunity to explore potential pathways and gain insight into the application process.

The day began with a presentation from Krish Garga of the University of Bath, who provided expert guidance on crafting effective personal statements. Students then applied this knowledge in subject-specific workshops, taking their first steps towards drafting their own statements. Ms Antebi, the school’s US and International Universities Adviser, led informative sessions on the American college application process, while additional guidance was available for those considering applications to Oxford and Cambridge. The day also allowed time for independent research, enabling students to further develop their Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ) and Extended Essays, key components of the A Level and IB Diploma courses that demonstrate the initiative and academic curiosity valued by universities.
