News Lower School Art and Design Exhibition 2025 07.03.2025
On Wednesday evening we celebrated the creative work of every student in Year 7, 8 and 9 in our annual Art and Design exhibition.
Using the theme of ‘collections’ as their inspiration, all 357 students displayed a piece of artwork which evidenced a fantastic diversity of experimentation with a range of making processes and techniques. It was a joyful event, and it was great to see so many parents, students and staff engaging with the artwork. There was an exciting range of projects which explored what a collection could be, ranging from placards that protested against the threat to extinction of plants and animals, embroidered insects that imagined their accelerated evolution, stamps that were tiny works of art and an interactive board game installation.
As well as being a visual feast, the projects demonstrated the student’s rigorous creative thinking, and this was evident in the breadth and individuality.
