News London School of Economics Debating Competition 13.10.2026
Five debating pairs entered the annual schools competition hosted by students at the London School of Economics on Saturday 10 October. Across topics comparing US and UK universities, ‘clergy-penitent privilege’, the merits of biopics and the best strategy for the US Democrats, all performed with credit. But Elena and Carmen, Year 11 performed particularly well, qualifying for the Silver Final. Despite a spirited case for the feminist movement condemning the ‘tradwife’ fashion, they did not win that round but were nevertheless in the top 6% of the 128 entrants.
Congratulations, Dolphins!
