News Junior Chamber Choir Sing Evensong at St George’s Chapel 22.05.2025

On Wednesday, the Junior Chamber Choir travelled to St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, to sing evensong in one of the country’s most prestigious settings. The evensong service formed part of the chapel’s regular choral tradition and the choir were very excited to contribute.

The music included Archer’s Preces and Responses for upper voices, Psalm 100, and Sumsion’s Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D. The anthem, This Joyful Eastertide, brought the service to a fitting conclusion.

The choir approached the occasion with focus and real musicality, responding well to the acoustic and atmosphere of the space. Their singing was both assured and expressive, and they relished the opportunity to sing in such a significant venue.
