News Godolphin students named ‘Best Delegation’ at St Paul’s MUN conference 22.01.2025

Last weekend, the Model United Nations Society made the short journey over the river to St Paul’s School for the first MUN conference of 2025. Delegates discussed and negotiated over a wide range of highly relevant topics, such as the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, the transition to renewable energy sources, and the global debt burden.

Our eleven delegates from Lower Sixth and Year 10 had prepared very diligently for the conference and worked well as a team to do so, crafting detailed resolutions and deepening their knowledge of South Korea and China, who we were representing. It was brilliant that their hard work paid off, with Alara and Alexia in the Lower Sixth receiving individual awards for their committees as ‘Most Accurate to Country’ and ‘Best Delegate’ respectively. We were absolutely delighted to win the overall conference award of ‘Best Delegation’ in recognition of the skill and impact of the China delegation in the committees and during the General Assembly.

Well done to all the students involved at thank you to St Paul’s for hosting the conference.
