News Godolphin Athletes Excel in London Competitions 17.06.2026

Our athletes have been in action over the last week, putting in some fantastic performances.

On Saturday, 13 June, four students represented the school at the Year 8/9 London Schools Athletics Championships. Leading the way was Ching Mae, who secured an outstanding third-place finish in the High Jump with a personal best clearance of 1.50m. As a Year 8 athlete competing in a Year 8/9 event against older competitors, her achievement was particularly impressive. Ching Mae also placed fifth in the Shot Put. Domi also earned a place on the podium, finishing third in the Shot Put with a throw of 8.20m. Congratulations also to Selina and Allegra for being selected to compete at this event.

Just three days later, on Tuesday, 16 June, several girls represented the Hammersmith and Fulham Athletics Team at the Year 7/8 London Schools Track and Field Championships. Once again, Ching Mae produced a standout performance, winning the Year 8 High Jump and becoming London Champion after equalling her personal best of 1.50m. She also finished sixth in the Shot Put, capping off another excellent day of competition. Elsewhere, Simi finished fifth in her 300m heat, while Catherine placed eighth in the Shot Put. Tara achieved an eighth-place overall finish in the 100m and was also a member of the Hammersmith and Fulham 4 × 100m relay team, which claimed third place.

These achievements reflect the hard work, determination, and commitment of all the athletes involved. Congratulations to everyone who competed and represented both Godolphin and the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham with distinction.
