News Bob Chilcott 70th Birthday Recital: Junior Chamber Choir 18.06.2026

On Friday 12 June, the Junior Chamber Choir performed a wonderful recital for parents, teachers, and students, celebrating the music of Bob Chilcott in his 70th birthday year.

The programme opened with Two Singing Songs, setting the tone for a lunchtime of engaging choral singing. The choir then performed Movements I, II, IV and V of The Peace Mass, singing with musicality and sensitivity. Throughout the recital, the singers demonstrated impressive musicianship and a deep engagement with the repertoire.

The recital concluded with The Swallow, an uplifting work that provided a fitting end to the programme. The choir sang with great gusto, communicating the spirit of Chilcott’s music with real flair and conviction.
