News Global Finalist National Economics Challenge 16.09.2026

Congratulations to Andrea, Lower Sixth, who over the summer represented Team UK as a Global Finalist in the National Economics Challenge (Round Three, David Ricardo Division) at the Future Economic Leaders Summit. The event – organised by the World Youth Forum at the University of Oxford – is designed for students aged 15–20, particularly those preparing applications for top UK universities. 

Following a competitive selection process, Andrea was among approximately 200 students selected from an initial pool of 20,000 online participants. The global finals consisted of an Oxford University-style debate, written examination, and critical-thinking challenge, in which Andrea’s team of four presented and defended their position on the economic implications of using AI in market pricing.
