News Lights Out Racing F1 Car Goes Full Throttle at the Nationals 27.03.2026
This week, Aarini, Daisy, Laura, Rosie, Eugénie and Carlotta, Year 11, represented the school at the STEM Racing National Finals at the incredible Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham. Their team, Lights Out Racing, are the first team from Godolphin to make it through to this stage of the event and they did an absolutely outstanding job.
Up against other regional champions from around the UK (and a few from abroad!), as well as some previous world finalists, they showcased all the hard work they’ve been putting in and received some really positive feedback from the judges. They successfully navigated the myriad of technical regulations to produce an expertly engineered car, and employed a whole range of marketing and fundraising techniques to get themselves there. We’re really proud of them all for representing the school so brilliantly at this prestigious and exciting event.
That brings our involvement with this years STEM Racing competition to a close, but it won’t be long until we’ll be gearing up to go again!
