News Working Lunch Welcomes Dr Rishika Sinha, Consultant Dermatologist and Skin Cancer Lead 27.02.2026
At the end of February we were delighted to welcome Godolphin and Latymer parent Dr Rishika Sinha as our latest Working Lunch speaker. Dr Sinha is a Consultant Dermatologist and Skin Cancer Lead at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where she combines clinical expertise with leadership in patient care.
In an engaging and candid talk, Dr Sinha reflected on her journey into medicine — from being inspired by an exceptional Biology teacher at school, to the intensity of studying at University of Cambridge medical school. She spoke honestly about initially considering a career in surgery before a dermatology placement, taken almost by chance, revealed a path that would become both highly successful and deeply fulfilling.
Dr Sinha shared thoughtful insights into the realities and challenges of a life in medicine, while emphasising the profound sense of purpose it brings. She described medicine as not only a science but also an art — requiring empathy, creativity and human understanding alongside clinical knowledge. Students particularly enjoyed hearing how she once included a hand-drawn illustration in her university application – sadly no longer possible in the digital application era!
We are extremely grateful to Dr Sinha for giving her time so generously and for sharing her experience and advice with such a large and enthusiastic group of students.
