News Lower Sixth Reps Launch Year-Group Charities Programme 26.01.2026

In January, the Lower Sixth Charity Representatives delivered a special whole-school assembly to thank students for their thoughtful charity suggestions and enthusiastic participation in the voting process. The team explained why each chosen charity was a strong fit for Godolphin and how learning about these organisations would benefit the wider school community.

Year-group representatives shared their reasoning with confidence. For example, the Year 9 team highlighted how Shooting Star Children’s Hospices aligns with our Personal Development Programme by promoting kindness and supporting the local Hammersmith community. Year 8 students are supporting the WWF, and their representatives presented quotes from classmates explaining why the charity is meaningful to them.

The assembly also showcased the exciting programme of educational and fundraising activities planned for the year ahead. This Friday, a staff-versus-student quiz will raise money for the Year 11 charity, Freedom4Girls. Other upcoming events include a craft fair, a sponsored walk, a movie night, and a competition to design a mindful toy. The representatives presented with confidence and polish, and it was inspiring to hear their enthusiasm and ambition for the year ahead.
