News Senior Chamber Choir Sing Evensong at Winchester Cathedral 13.11.2025

On Wednesday 12 November, the Senior Chamber Choir was honoured to sing evensong at Winchester Cathedral. Winchester Cathedral is one of the largest and most historically significant cathedrals in Europe. The longest medieval cathedral in the world, it is renowned for its stunning Gothic architecture; its history spanning over 900 years; and as a resting place for several early English kings and the novelist Jane Austen.

The Senior Chamber Choir sang Darlington’s Responses, Psalm 66, Cecilia McDowall’s St. Albans Service, Will Todd’s Gloria in Excelsis, and Final Responses written especially for the choir by Director of Music Chris Langworthy.

The choir were absolutely outstanding; many, many congratulations to all of them.

The evensong was livestreamed by Winchester Cathedral, and can be viewed in its entirety here: 11-12-25 Choral Evensong live from Winchester Cathedral. 🇺🇦
