News Exploring Higher Education Opportunities Across the Pond 25.09.2025

This week, our Sixth Form students continued exploring the range of colleges and universities available in the United States by attending talks by the Admission Directors from Parsons School of Design in New York, Tufts University, University of Chicago and Yale.

From the sustainable projects run by Parsons undergraduates to the Tufts Summer Scholars programme which funds independent research developed by ‘like-minded nerds from across the disciplines’, our pupils explored how the life of the mind can transcend classroom learning. While the UChicago talk emphasised their commitment to free speech, Yale’s presentation focused on the breadth of courses which bring together people with different perspectives. Our students were fascinated by the unique aspects of each institution as they reflected on the importance of fit during the application process.

We will continue to host talks by Admission Directors to keep our students informed about the wide range of opportunities offered at international universities, with representatives from Dartmouth, Duke, Georgetown, Indiana, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Vermont, and Washington University visiting us in the coming days.
